I think it’s finally safe to say the words…IT’S SPRING!! The beautiful sunshine and warm/hot temps are here for good now!! Yippee!!!! We have all been waiting for this! Especially all of us that work outside, and really don’t enjoy the whole “April showers” thing! Anyways- cheers! With that being said, I’ve been SWAMPED with sessions!! Gorgeous families and kiddies and landscapes, oh my. I hate to hold out sharing with all of you, so in no great order- here are a few moments I’ve gathered this month! (below)
Also- a little housekeeping is hopefully coming along too. *Game plan- update my blog and website. Pray that it actually happens.
Lastly- when I emotionally can handle it, I will share with you all lots and lots of incredible images & memories of my favorite best buddy that passed away a week ago. Cooper was almost 14 years old and we had to say goodbye. He was the most loved and adored french bulldog on the earth. I am 100% sure I’ll never get over him (yes, tears flowing fast even now as I type this) but I hope soon I can honor him on here so you all get a little taste of how special he was to us.

2 days in a row?! Now this is a big deal.
All you moms out there know how hard it is to get 3 minutes to your self. Especially when you start your day with two babies in your bed. (aka- who sleeps?!) But here I am- showered, dressed (well sort of. as long as pjs count), fed and sitting alone with my second (reheated twice) coffee actually blogging and emailing and editing away. It’s a big deal.
I am planning on keeping things simple around here. (I write like I talk. Those of you that know me, know this.) But I do want to share a few pics of my people with you guys. Isla Drew turned ONE. WHOA. I have 5 kids now and 0 babies. That hurts. I still want 100000 babies. Which I thought that feeling was suppose to go away once you were done having kiddies. Nope. Anyways, she’s awesome and loving and silly and truly a gift. Funniest little unicorn you ever did see. She adores her brothers and they are obsessed with her. She fits right into their crazy, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Some of our sweet friends and family are in these photos as well. Life is so precious, I want to remember every moment. And every loved one.
Oh and some exciting news…my good friend Jessy (fab photog) and I are hosting our very first Photog Mama Photography class in a little over a week. I can’t wait to share all the fun with you guys. ❤

Oh look who it is– AGAIN!!! I bet you’re as shocked as me! Baby Isla is napping and my wild man, Beck is at preschool probably torturing his precious teachers with face licks! Life is sweet! ❤ This North Carolina weather has been so crazy lately and we have been so ready to start spring sessions with beautiful flowers! So two of my favorite things on earth were under the same roof for the Stawick Family’s session… (and no I’m not talking about the doughnuts) squishy-faced doggies and kiddies! I could move right in. Erica and Steve have the two cutest pugs I have ever seen- hands down. And now have added a second precious baby to their little family- beautiful lil Sophie. Charlie, the big brother who just turned two, could have anything I own. That lil guy had some way of sucking me in, and truly could have come home with me! Charlie was so patient and sweet with his new baby sister, I still can’t really believe it. He just took it all in. Big blue eyes looking up at me, just waiting for whatever I said next. Yes, this seems rare to me. And extremely special. I hope his Mommy & Daddy know that. After many years of photographing children with their new baby siblings, I can say he is the minority. It’s such a HUGE change in their little worlds. As for lil Miss Sophie…she couldn’t be any more perfect!! That gorgeous head full of hair is amazing, and a dream for a lover of girlie bows. She has already learned how to just go with the flow and fits right into their adorable family!
The Stawick’s played on their bed…pug babies and all. I wish I could post every single shot from their fun ruckus- but that would spoil all their fun! I loved how informal everything was and how their chaos is so beautiful. Hope you enjoy…
The Ried Family

I have waited a long long time to photograph this beautiful Ried Family. Misty contacted me last year and after rescheduling and working around many bumps we made it work–YAY!!! Ben and Misty are beyond amazing parents. They have two beautiful babies, Braxton & Allie. I truly can’t begin to share their incredible journey on here in one short blog post but every one of them are an inspiration to me. Braxton (who is 5 years old) has what is known as Dravet syndrome, and I am so thankful that Misty & Ben have opened up their hearts to help educate others (like me) on this rare syndrome. If you would like to learn more and keep up with their precious boy- you can look go to http://www.braxtonsweb.com . He is precious, and completely all boy. Full of happiness, love and life. He wanted to sword fight and made me smile all morning long. I hope more than anything I was able to capture that for his Mom & Dad. I am sure those are the moments that really matter, and the memories that are priceless. (not the never-ending days & hours in hospitals or doing therapy.) Braxton adores his little sister Allie. And she adores him right back. Allie is vibrant and fun. And boy does she love her Daddy! Misty and Ben are some of the very best people I have ever met. Every moment of their day is wrapped around their children—including all night long as well. I really hope I get to spend a lot more time with this incredible family and they will be in my prayers every single day. Braxton is a reason I am a photographer. ❤

I am over the moon for this little munchkin. Carter has grown so much since I first met him 9 short months ago…so strong, so active, 100% aware of his world around him, more incredibly loving every time I see him! The Clary family are genuinely one of the kindest and sweetest families I’ve ever met, and I am so grateful that they have allowed me to be a part of their lives. Sweet little Carter was a blast to play with in the Plaza Midwood area of Charlotte- bright colors and lots to stare at made it an even better afternoon for all of us! {eclectic, to say the least!} Hope you enjoy their lil stud muffin!
