CAPTURING LOVE

I am feeling all the cliche “love” vibes today. All the love stories, Hallmark movies and fairy tales .

Happy Valentine’s Day my sweet friends! ❤️ Spreading some delightful love right here.

Cheers to the magic of memories and authentic love.

xx Heather

Well Hello October

In classic Heather style, I am just now getting back to my blog to update you guys! ❤ That doesn’t mean I don’t love you- it’s just the very last thing on my list these days. Truly. I do wish I had more time to get on here and share, but until my kiddos are all in school that probably won’t happen. The good news is… I am still alive and dancing PLUS I am still photographing beautiful humans endlessly. Take that as a win win!!

I try my best to share my images, stories and life on Instagram and Facebook as much as possible- but even that comes later on my list. I just want to soak up all the time I have with my family, friends and capturing memories for all those who choose to come my way. I love watching my clients grow up in front of my lens, year after year. And lately it has seemed to be going faster than ever. Tiny newborn babies I photographed 9 years ago are little, grown people. They’re telling me stories of their lives and who their first crush is. How does this happen so quickly. Goodness.

I need to stop myself before I go down that long road of memories.

North Carolina has been insanely hot this year and although it is October, we are still rocking the 95-100 degree weather. All of us (especially photographers) are begging for a cool break with some glorious Fall color.

My fall mini sessions are in full gear now so I won’t be coming back up for air until mid December. But here are a few images that are from the past couple months- for more you’ll want to find me on social media. 🙂 I hope everyone is ready to enjoy a beautiful Fall and joyful winter! Thanks for keeping up with my crazy world!

xx Heather

The Knag Family

Charlotte, NC    {family photography} {child photography}

I’m skipping around today with my sessions and had to blog this gorgeous family that I got to hang with last week! The Knag family is drop dead fabulous. And even better on the inside. I would choose to photograph them every week if I could. Seriously. We did nothing but laugh and chat…and well take a few photos. We met up in the NODA area of Charlotte and just played around the city streets! I could share 100 of their images and never get tired of their beautiful faces! Their three girls have become such little ladies over the years and are such a joy to photograph. I’d have to say good parenting 101 is happening there! I feel lucky and honored to share this family with you all!!

ps- I am pretty sure these girls should all be full time child models. just sayin’ ❤

Enjoy! xo

The Bullock Family

Charlotte, NC    {family photographer, child photographer}

The Bullock family was such a great time to photograph. They adore their handsome little man, Maxwell to pieces and you can see that in all their photos! I loved how much they all just wanted to play and do “real” life! And their dog, Thor wanted to be a part of it all too! Everyone knows I have a special spot inside for sweet pooches! Here are a few images from their summer family session of fun! Enjoy!!

The Stawick Family

Charlotte, NC    {family photography}

So two of my favorite things on earth were under the same roof for the Stawick Family’s session… (and no I’m not talking about the doughnuts) squishy-faced doggies and kiddies! I could move right in. Erica and Steve have the two cutest pugs I have ever seen- hands down. And now have added a second precious baby to their little family- beautiful lil Sophie. Charlie, the big brother who just turned two, could have anything I own. That lil guy had some way of sucking me in, and truly could have come home with me! Charlie was so patient and sweet with his new baby sister, I still can’t really believe it. He just took it all in. Big blue eyes looking up at me, just waiting for whatever I said next. Yes, this seems rare to me. And extremely special. I hope his Mommy & Daddy know that. After many years of photographing children with their new baby siblings, I can say he is the minority. It’s such a HUGE change in their little worlds. As for lil Miss Sophie…she couldn’t be any more perfect!! That gorgeous head full of hair is amazing, and a dream for a lover of girlie bows.  She has already learned how to just go with the flow and fits right into their adorable family!

The Stawick’s played on their bed…pug babies and all. I wish I could post every single shot from their fun ruckus- but that would spoil all their fun! I loved how informal everything was and how their chaos is so beautiful. Hope you enjoy…
