North Carolina has handed up hot sunny days and snow all in the same exact week. WHAT is going on?! I am so pumped to say Happy First Day of Spring. I hope NC gets the memo too.
I wanted to give you all a quick update on our Momtog Photography class from this past weekend. Mind blown. I didn’t know exactly what to expect with this first class but it was magical. I keep thinking back to the first time I picked up my first DSLR, and how I was completely lost. What I would’ve given to have a class like this at my finger tips. All the tricks and simple ways of learning the basics so we can actually capture our kids in decent photos. I think everyone learned a ton and had a blast while doing so. Shooting one on one with each photographer/momtog was key in my opinion. Hands on and VERY eye opening for all of us. I’ll share some photos at the end of some of the girls in action! 🙂
In other news, lots of babies are being born and lots of spring sessions are happening over here. Here are a few fun moments from the past week!! Hope you enjoy!!
The Graves Family added a new member to their tribe late last year, sweet lil Olivia- and I was honored to come to their home and capture some fun, real-life moments!! We had such a great time!
Then I spent time with the precious Lozeau Family in uptown Charlotte- and we danced and played in the rain!! We did get some “dry” moments too, but it was a blast either way! Their little man, Julian was such a sweet boy! I hope you enjoy a few of their memories!!

It’s that time again. Time to share some of my recent beauties with all of you. I wish I was better with this, but I’m not. We have had a super busy Spring so far and I have a feeling it isn’t going to slow down anytime soon! Maybe in July we will get a minute of chill time in front of the pool. But until then…we work.
Since I usually offer mini sessions only in the fall, I decided to offer a few weekends of minis this spring as well. (due to popular demand) Weekends have been slammed with gorgeous families and babies and I can’t complain! Plus the weather is starting to show it’s love again!
Everyday my coffee tastes as amazing as the day before…it reminds me of how my photography is to me. I love capturing friends, family and change everyday. It always tastes good. Each day there is a new story to tell. I love it best when I spend time with long-time clients and they express how they adore looking back through the years of photos I’ve captured. Their lives have changed, and so has mine. All in front of the camera. ❤

Another month passes…and I am still behind with blogging. darn. Actually it’s a month and a half to be exact. May is such a busy and fun month though. May brings on all the beautiful flowers and people…with very little rainy ruined days! NC has been blessed with incredible weather so I’ve had barely a moment away from my camera or computer. So many brand new baby miracles, graduates starting onto a new page in their lives and families coming together and sharing their stories with me and my camera. It has been full of blessings! And since today is the first day of June, I thought I’d celebrate with a new blog post and flood your eyes with my gorgeous clients! ❤
GOAL OF THE MONTH: I am going to try to bring my camera out for my own little dudes more…so hopefully I’ll have some new photos to share with all of you soon! And one day I will start a mom blog with all the ridiculous/hilarious stories that happen to us or around us on a daily basis. Maybe that will be next month’s goal. Seriously- you guys wouldn’t even believe all the craziness that goes on around the Ras home! 🙂

Fall Mini Session Fun

Our mini sessions this Fall have been overwhelmingly successful!!! I am loving all the fun styles and locations, then adding in all the gorgeous families- equals perfection!! We have completely lucked out with the weather thus far too! Yesterday’s sessions were actually hot~ I was in shock!! I know this is a crazy time of year for everyone so I’m keeping this short and sweet…check out this beautiful loves!!!
And here are a few from my family this past week too 🙂 I’m not giving away any of the family Christmas card shots yet…but soon they will come too! 🙂 I can’t believe how fast this baby boy is growing!!!

Oh how I ADORE this family! They have always been such amazing clients and so so much fun to be around and photograph! They are perfect examples of why I love my job! The Rogers Family added another princess to their line up just recently…and she is just as fabulous as the others! When you are greeted at the door by two adorable toddlers how could you have a bad day? Ashley (mama bear) has mastered this baby stuff…she’s so impressive. Always so relaxed and easy going- where do I discover these characteristics within myself? hahaha! Little McLain slept just enough to capture exactly what we needed and what a fun challenge it always is getting three babies to stay still in front of my lens! You can probably picture it…lots of gummy bears and promises of yummy snacks! It’s even hard for me to sit still- so I get it! Wouldn’t we all rather be outside running around free? I love this family and ALL their photos from our session! I hope you do too!!

What better way to end my Saturday but to show off a precious little cutie I met a couple weeks ago! When I walked into the Maiura’s home I knew I would love them instantly…they had 2 loving doggies greeting me front and center! And to top that off…one was my favorite breed of all time, a french bulldog! 🙂 Ok not to stray away from the real reason I was lucky to meet this family, they had just welcomed their first little one to the world! Colleen and Tim already had it together too. I was impressed. Hudson has the good life. No doubt. We seriously laughed the entire session and had such an awesome time in their gorgeous home!! Hudson is perfect and you’ll agree!!

Oh I got to snuggle so many squishy babes this month, and I loved every one of them! I am on a roll today and feel like I might actually get a few blog posts out for you all to enjoy! So here I go…
Brand new little Jake was a superstar! When people use the line “I slept like a baby”- they don’t have kids. But this little Jake did just that, and slept through it all. One proud Mom, and 2 proud Grandmothers helped and watched it all! Jake is loved and he will have no choice but to love his parent’s alma mater -the Auburn Tigers! He sported lots of awesome Auburn gear! Enjoy a peek at his beautiful session.

To all you bloggers out there, you rock. I give you mad credit. I have so little time these days to blog, but today I am sharing one of my many many sessions lately.
Sweet sweet Finn was welcomed into the world by the most precious new parents, Cathrin and Drew! I photographed this awesome couple many many years ago and was over the moon excited when they contacted me with great news of a baby on the way! 🙂 I couldn’t wait to meet little Finn once he arrived. He is perfect. Chubby little perfection. I just love him. He slept like an angel and was the best newborn model for us. I hope you enjoy a peek at his greatness!!

Personal housekeeping first:
Playing catch up today in my office…so by the time the sun sets tonight I will officially have office hours! How exciting is that?!?! Now for the Stroupe Family’s precious new arrival!! Kristen and Justin have been together for almost as long as I can remember…they are seriously just perfect for one another. I have known Kristen for so long, that when I look back through childhood photos I ALWAYS come across a few of her! I have always adored her, and her kind soul! I had such an awesome time at their home meeting lil Mr. Hayden! He is a peanut and I just wanted to squeeze him! He looks to me like a lil man, and there is no mistaking him for a girl! (in my opinion!) Anyways, we laughed and just soaked up the morning with this lil man and I am so happy for their family of now 3! I am sure they are enjoying every single second of this precious time together!! Here’s a tiny peek at lil Hayden!! Enjoy!!
