Huntersville, NC {hello world, newborn photographer, child photographer}
Oh I got to snuggle so many squishy babes this month, and I loved every one of them! I am on a roll today and feel like I might actually get a few blog posts out for you all to enjoy! So here I go…
Brand new little Jake was a superstar! When people use the line “I slept like a baby”- they don’t have kids. But this little Jake did just that, and slept through it all. One proud Mom, and 2 proud Grandmothers helped and watched it all! Jake is loved and he will have no choice but to love his parent’s alma mater -the Auburn Tigers! He sported lots of awesome Auburn gear! Enjoy a peek at his beautiful session.

The Bullock family was such a great time to photograph. They adore their handsome little man, Maxwell to pieces and you can see that in all their photos! I loved how much they all just wanted to play and do “real” life! And their dog, Thor wanted to be a part of it all too! Everyone knows I have a special spot inside for sweet pooches! Here are a few images from their summer family session of fun! Enjoy!!

So two of my favorite things on earth were under the same roof for the Stawick Family’s session… (and no I’m not talking about the doughnuts) squishy-faced doggies and kiddies! I could move right in. Erica and Steve have the two cutest pugs I have ever seen- hands down. And now have added a second precious baby to their little family- beautiful lil Sophie. Charlie, the big brother who just turned two, could have anything I own. That lil guy had some way of sucking me in, and truly could have come home with me! Charlie was so patient and sweet with his new baby sister, I still can’t really believe it. He just took it all in. Big blue eyes looking up at me, just waiting for whatever I said next. Yes, this seems rare to me. And extremely special. I hope his Mommy & Daddy know that. After many years of photographing children with their new baby siblings, I can say he is the minority. It’s such a HUGE change in their little worlds. As for lil Miss Sophie…she couldn’t be any more perfect!! That gorgeous head full of hair is amazing, and a dream for a lover of girlie bows. She has already learned how to just go with the flow and fits right into their adorable family!
The Stawick’s played on their bed…pug babies and all. I wish I could post every single shot from their fun ruckus- but that would spoil all their fun! I loved how informal everything was and how their chaos is so beautiful. Hope you enjoy…

For those of you that don’t know Nash Grier…you probably will in the next couple of years. (it means you’re either not on social media or just don’t pay any attention to social media and, parents- your child probably already knows of him, and/or has a fiery crush on him!)
Nash is one of my best friend’s stepsons, so to me, he is a sweet Grier boy. Just like his two other brothers. But to many others he is the Vine-famous Nash. Since I don’t really have experience in the Vine world- I’m sticking with the Nash I know to show you all. 🙂
I’ve had the Grier Family in front of my lens more than once, but this was the first time it was just one of the boys. Nash rocked. He’s hysterical, and yes he’s only 16. We laughed the entire time. He has a great family, and you see it in him. That’s what I find amazing with all three of the Grier boys. Not only are they all beautiful(yes, you can say beautiful for men), and talented– they all have hearts of gold. And great things happen to great people. (well, I’d like to hope that this is true.)
I know his life is a bit wild now, he is still grounded. And really a typical 16 year old guy. I am so glad I was able to capture the real Nash in our session, and I hope you enjoy!

I cannot believe that all my parent’s words of wisdom are actually coming true. Everyone older than me told me year after year to slow down because time goes by way too fast. I had no idea how fast they were meaning, but I wish I would’ve believed them and actually slowed down. Now as I type this blog about one of my best friend’s little girls turning ONE already, I am reminded to slow down. One year ago I was meeting this angel baby by the name of Keira Jewel. (how could she avoid being amazing with a name like that?) And now, 365 days have passed. She is walking, and chatting us up. Where did those days go? We all need to slow down and enjoy the now!!
Well, I hope you see how beautiful this lil one is inside and out through a few of her images! Enjoy!!
ps- I had to share one quick shot from her newborn session 1 year ago!

I have been so blessed to be a small part of such incredible businesses in the past year, I can’t even begin to express all my gratitude and respect for each and every one of them. I have learned so much from these experiences and people, and appreciate all they have trusted me with. Having your own business is like having your own baby- and I am so sure it has to be difficult to rely on someone other than yourself to do the best for your business. I am so thankful that Amber and her entire family, and team at RuffleButts & RuggedButts have trusted me me with their photography needs!
RuffleButts and RuggedButts are beyond cute. If I had a little girl, I’m sure I would have her in RB every single day. Little girls in ruffled bloomers make the world a happier place. Their newer boy’s line, RuggedButts is also so so cute. My boys love how soft all their clothes are too, to top it off!
I am so excited to share a few images from their just released Spring 2014 line with you all! We’ve had to wait since our big shoot this fall so we didn’t spoil all the excitement with their big spring release! It’s hard to pick my favorites from 100+ outfits we photographed to share with you all…but here are some of them!
Also, if you haven’t checked out RuffleButts or RuggedButts by now…get on it! Your kids will thank you!

I love when I walk into a family’s home and instantly feel like I was meant to be there, and we just click. Allie and Rob did just that. I think I laughed for almost 2 hours straight. It was great. I had just met them, and Allie’s adorable parents…but somehow felt like I had known them forever. This makes my job so much easier. Allie is so laid back and relaxed, and their handsome little man, Trip will grow up seeing that as well. Trip was around 7 weeks old when we did his session, and he was such a great sport! I hope you can see their sweet love in the few images I show you all…enjoy!
