Charlotte, NC {UPDATES and more UPDATES}
Is it really the 19th of February? As I sit here nursing my new little guy (sorry if that’s too much of a visual) and writing, I am dumbfounded at the fact that January just disappeared and really so did December. I have yet to blog in 2015…whoa that’s pathetic!!! Let’s start there.
It is 2015!!! woohooo HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We all survived 2014!! I had an incredible year of gorgeous families and I couldn’t be more grateful. I feel so blessed! Lots of babies were brought into the world and I am so lucky to have met and photographed lots of them! We welcomed our 4th little man on Dec 11th as well. He is perfect. We ended 2014 with a bang. I still can’t believe I am really a mom of four handsome boys!!! As you can imagine…this is part of the reason January and now February have completely disappeared. Four wild boys.
On another note…I went back to work pretty quickly after he was born and he just comes along for the ride with me. My sitter or friends come too and help out with little Beck man while I do what I love and can focus on my clients. It’s been amazing so far! I am learning to edit while holding a sleeping baby, and sometimes an eating baby too. I love having a partner to chat to while I go on long editing stretches.
I am so excited about all my upcoming trips this year…and all the fun clients I will get to photograph all over. I know it will be another memorable year meeting and capturing many new families, as well as watching my long time clients change and grow their families.
CHEERS to 2015 and all it’s beauty. To cupcakes. To friendships. To love. To puppies. To coffee. To warm snuggles. To babies laughing. To you.
Cheers to a year of seeing the best in people, and seeing the beauty in the light.
Here are a few images of our newest addition…enjoy xoxo

The Bullock family was such a great time to photograph. They adore their handsome little man, Maxwell to pieces and you can see that in all their photos! I loved how much they all just wanted to play and do “real” life! And their dog, Thor wanted to be a part of it all too! Everyone knows I have a special spot inside for sweet pooches! Here are a few images from their summer family session of fun! Enjoy!!

For those of you that don’t know Nash Grier…you probably will in the next couple of years. (it means you’re either not on social media or just don’t pay any attention to social media and, parents- your child probably already knows of him, and/or has a fiery crush on him!)
Nash is one of my best friend’s stepsons, so to me, he is a sweet Grier boy. Just like his two other brothers. But to many others he is the Vine-famous Nash. Since I don’t really have experience in the Vine world- I’m sticking with the Nash I know to show you all. 🙂
I’ve had the Grier Family in front of my lens more than once, but this was the first time it was just one of the boys. Nash rocked. He’s hysterical, and yes he’s only 16. We laughed the entire time. He has a great family, and you see it in him. That’s what I find amazing with all three of the Grier boys. Not only are they all beautiful(yes, you can say beautiful for men), and talented– they all have hearts of gold. And great things happen to great people. (well, I’d like to hope that this is true.)
I know his life is a bit wild now, he is still grounded. And really a typical 16 year old guy. I am so glad I was able to capture the real Nash in our session, and I hope you enjoy!

Lincolnton, NC {family & child photography}
After months and months of trying to get our schedules to match up, I FINALLY got the precious Walsh family in front of my camera! Leslie and I had been back and forth way too many times to count, she deserves a medal. But of course we pick a bitter cold day to meet, and of course things didn’t go as planned. {do they ever?!} Their handsome little 4 year old Sutton wanted nothing to do with me or my crazy antics. After dancing, singing & lots of ridiculous jokes, I gave up. In all my years of photographing kids he’s the very 1st kiddo to defeat me. He won. He was not in the mood for playing or photos, and quite honestly it was so frigid out I am surprised that any of us lasted as long as we did. Hadley, his big sister was the sweetest little princess from start to finish. I think she enjoyed the extra love from mommy & daddy! We all have been here before- which makes me appreciate these images so much. We are always in new stages with children, and they’re constantly changing. Capture it while you can. Hope you enjoy!!!
