We are running out the door for a weekend away in Atlanta to cheer on my hubby and all the other awesome firemen & police that are playing football against the Atlanta team tomorrow- so I will make this short and sweet!! (I had to post this peek before we left…couldn’t wait 3 more days!!)
These gorgeous Kinmon babies know how to melt my camera for sure. I am so thankful that I’ve been able to capture the three of them growing up season after season! Mia and Aniston are just beautiful…and with each time I see them they grow more and more into lovely big girls. I cannot believe how much they’ve matured since I saw them last. ๐ And Rylan is a little ham, but he is surely hitting those twos!! He wanted nothing to do with us for a while, it was much more fun playing with keys and boxes! (obviously!) Love these kids and I hope you get to enjoy them too!!!
ps- I couldn’t resist posting a TON from their session!!!!

What a sweet joy it was spending a morning with the Rush family over their spring break! {putting in a quick personal note below…it ties in with the Rush Family’s session though}
My morning started out so perfect, mainly because I actually got to grab a coffee and a yummy muffin- and sit in peace to enjoy all of them. (wow) But the other huge treat for me was I brought my first baby boy along for the ride- ok he’s my first “fur” baby, but he’ll always be my first baby. Cooper is my almost 9 year old cream french bulldog- also known as owning 1/6th of my heart. Cooper is more like a human than a dog…he is more sensitive and understanding than any human I have ever met. And by far, MUCH more loyal. He is beyond special. OK honestly, when I started to write this a few moments ago I didn’t think I was going to go down this path of tears and stories of my precious pooch. geez. {so skip all this next rambling if you really don’t want to hear Cooper’s health situation-but it does give you a glimpse into why my morning with the Rush family, and Cooper was extra special}
~Well, about 8 days ago I took Cooper to the vet because he randomly threw up a lot of blood. (seriously, out of nowhere.) and just for those of you who don’t know my life personally- our dogs are treated like children, and maybe sometimes even a tad better. Basically the vet said in a nutshell that Cooper isn’t getting enough oxygen and we will have to do surgery. ๐ฆ Being almost 9 years old,ย that is just scary to me. So, at this point we are currently awaiting a surgery for our sweet boy- to open his nose holes up and to check his throat and airway to make sure air is able to reach his little body. This mommy is scared, and sad for Cooper. But I know it is in God’s hands and he has been loved beyond imagination since the day we brought him home. Please say a little prayer if you have a moment.
So, Cooper got to ride with me to meet the Rush family in Davidson- and he must of been in heaven. He just wants to go with me everywhere, so I have decided to try to give him a little more special time these days. Having 3 kids takes away a lot of my one-on-one time that I use to have with Cooper. ๐ฆย He enjoyed some of my muffin, listened to me sing loudly to the radio and even got to go into CVS with me to buy some chapstick for the chilly session. He made my day. And at the end of our session- he made the Rush’s youngest son’s day too. Wyatt was absolutely in love with Cooper. And it made my heart smile. Cooper has taught me so much in life…and I think he probably reminded the Rush family of some things they had been pushing aside as well. Animals are such beautiful & unconditionally loving creatures. ok…I am going to get back to the Rush family now, sorry for going off on a tangent, it has weighed heavily on my heart this week.
Ok so moving on to the beautiful Rush Family…we had a blast running around Davidson College and trying our best to keep warm. (even made a fun stop for treats at the coffee shop) They have the cutest little ones, oh my. Val and Chris have taught their 3 munchkins all about smiling & flirting- and I couldn’t get enough! Eli smiled as if he were in love from the moment I saw him up until the very end- I just want to squeeze him. ๐ I hope you enjoy this pretty family!

After WAY too long, we finally got both our wild schedules together to capture this awesome family. The Mehrmann Family are so vibrant and fun. We wanted their location for their photos to represent them– so downtown Mooresville seemed perfect! Hannah is the perfect big sister…seriously. She just wants to love on Grayson and protect him from hurting himself. BUT he is 100% boy…and wants to show off that wonderful gift in full force! balls, trucks, rocks, and trains…it rocks a little boy’s world. Never a dull moment in a home with a toddler boy!ย (and I say this from experience!) Cheryl and Todd live in our neighborhood and are an absolute blast to hang out with…especially late wine nights! Our next session has to be planned around their fabulous past time ofย “glamping” —Camping in their awesomely giant and fancy camper! I can see it now…sunset, roasting marshmallows over the campfire, yummy cocktails in hand, great tunes on the radio…out in the middle of nowhere. Yep, no need for brainstorming their next photo session! ๐ Hope you enjoy the Mehrmann’s precious moments…

Where do I start with this beautiful family? hmmm maybe I’ll begin with the obvious…brand new baby Oakley is pretty close to perfection.ย She is the closest thing I’ve ever seen to a real life baby doll to be honest. She is just gorgeous and well, her whole family falls right with her in that category as well. The Frank family were wonderful to spend the afternoon with…it was so peaceful pretty much my entire time in their home. (such a rarity with newborns & toddlers) It just went so smoothly and little Oakley was a superstar. Her big brother, Myers is super excited to have a new little sis too- which makes it even more fun in the Frank household!! I adore every one of their photos from the session..hope you love just as much as I do!
Jenny’s adorable Mother was there to help out (thank goodness for incredible Grandmothers by the way!)- and she captured a quick pull back shot of us posing lil Oakley. ๐

I have been capturing the Elliot Family’s special moments for a few years now, and to watch them grow from a family of 3 ย (new mommy & daddy; Clara was just an infant) to now a complete family of 4, really warms me inside. Clara is now a big sister of a handsome little brother, Robert Curtis Elliot- “Beau”!! ย Their Mommy is a rockstar birthing babies, and she deserves extra stars for it! And Daddy is so supportive of all of them, keeping the family together with unconditional love. I enjoyed my morning with their family, and the best part is seeing how much one tiny itty bitty goey baby can change their world & turn it upside down so quickly. (it happens every single time…it’s a given.) I love chaos, and the more children you bring into the world the more chaos and more love you have as well. ย I work better and live more fully in beautiful chaos…
I love these fun moments, and I hope you do too!! {many of these I just had to share because they are just hysterical. having a toddler running around is always a fun time!}

Love watching this little Emma grow…and I cannot believe she is already 9 months old! Since it was quite cold the day of her session I assumed she may be grumpy, but too my surprise this lil girl was over the moon happy. She smiled and laughed the entire time. ย We couldn’t have asked for a better baby! Enjoy!
Love the “behind the scenes” shot…keeping the sweet girl warm!!!

We rarely, if ever, get snow here in Charlotte but a few weeks ago we defied the odds and the snow fairy brought our three boys a pretty heavy snow storm! I had to post a few fun pics for everyone to enjoy! ps- I’m almost certain my husband had just as much fun as our 3 wild boys!
I walked outside and found these to fishy characters…needless to say, I was covered in snowballs very quickly.

Finally, I’m catching up a little on all my back logged sessions and emails! ๐ YAY!!!
PS- this is very exciting news for most of you…I am going to sit down today and FINALLY create a photography facebook page. {get pumped!} this is a super gynormous deal for me, so wish me luck!!! And be on the look out!! xo
now, on to this irresistibly cute family….
I have been so excited for a while to finally get my hands on this little Stella…I watched through facebook her homecoming from the hospital and her weekly snapshots. Each one a little more hair, a new bow and a more precious little girl– if that’s possible. Meghan and her husband Micheal live in Columbia, SC so I am even more honored to be able to capture their new little family as it grows! Meghan and I went to high school together, so I knew we would have fun! The sad news is…Stella had just started her very first little sickness, and smiles were not so easy to come by. (as they are normally!) Magically towards the end we got her excited and she beamed up at us for a few moments! YAY! We did have the most amazing weather, beautiful sun beams to match this beautiful family! Enjoy!!!

A few weeks ago I met the adorable Jessica, she was referred to me through a friend to do her family photos of her new lil nugget and her tiny lil tot man— it went perfectly. Her family is precious and we had such a fun time romping and rolling around their yard and home. A week later she called and asked me to try to make it work for another session in another week…her sweet sister was coming in town with her family.ย So, I was blessed to photograph Jessica and her family twice in a few weeks time—it was fantastic. I’m pretty sure if she lived closer, we’d be having wine daily and letting our lil boys frolic. Jessica’s sister, Tiffany, and her sweet family were just as wonderful. They made my “job” {well, if you want to call it that} very easy. They played and I captured every second. They have 2 lil girls that are behaved so perfectly and showed off their fun personalities at the same time. I am so glad we got lots of sparkly shots of the 4 cousins together!! Enjoy!!
