A few weeks ago I met with this adorable family to capture Aubrey’s 4th birthday and photograph some fun memories of a special Mommy-daughter time we never get back. (they grow up way too quickly) Ilana is such an incredible Mother, and Aubrey is for sure the center of her world. When we first started to “play” I noticed some dark clouds but we just kept going…hoping they’d just pass over quickly. {Little did I know it was going to be the craziest stormy night of my life.} They danced. They laughed. and I loved it just as much as they did. But within 20 minutes of starting, the skies opened up and let out all they had. Lightning was darting through the skies, with the thunder shaking us immediately after. We ran for cover, and again, hoped it would pass quickly. Not so much. So instead of ending there, we pushed through the rain and danced. The light was incredible…top 3 best lighting I’ve ever shot in for sure. We may have been insane to keep going in such a wild storm, but the outcome of images (and no injuries) was totally worth it this time to me! I hope they agree!! I loved spending the evening with them and can’t wait to watch beautiful Aubrey grow up! Hope you enjoy their moments…
ps- we watched people being saved from cars that were stuck in the flooding on the way home that night. Just so you really understand how ridiculous this storm really was.
While we waited for the rain to slow down or stop…precious Aubrey played in the drips off the roof. She watched with such wonder….

A family near and dear to my heart added another beautiful little girl to their growing family just recently…and I had been counting down the days to finally meet her! I love surprises, and none of us knew if this little muffin was a girl or a boy until she entered this world- so fun!! Little Miss Ellie is just perfect! She reminds me of her big sister, Mary Caroline. Since Christy and Trey didn’t do formal “newborn” photos with their first two little ones, they decided that it wouldn’t be fair to give little miss Ellie her own supermodel session either…so we captured the essence of their whole family. The kids are so excited to have a new sister…and that always makes me happy inside! And no, it is not normal to look this amazing after just delivering your 3rd baby- so don’t feel discouraged when you see how put together Christy is! 🙂 That’s just how Christy rolls…always pulled together perfectly and just as sweet as a peach. {yet another reason why we love her so much} The Williams Family truly radiate the love for each other that all families deserve to have…and those 3 little ones have a lifetime of fun and love ahead of them!! Enjoy…. xo

Once again, I have been MIA…but for good reason this time! 😉 I celebrated my birthday with girlfriends on a trip to Florida…then returned home for a couple days to repack and head to NYC with my hubby & kiddies! It has been non-stop but I’m back in my flow again now! I have lots of sessions to catch up with on here. {blogged behind…} ha. ok Happy Summer friends!!!
To start the summer off properly- let’s begin with one of my favorite sessions ever! Taylor and I have been trying to set up a session on and off for years…and I am so so so thankful we finally made it work. It was bliss photographing her precious family. Pretty much a photographer’s dream—perfect morning sunrise, sugared up babies, happy parents, and everyone just wanting to have a blast. We literally played, laughed & joked from the moment we got out of the car til we got back in. (Donuts and starbucks may or may not have been involved.) Taylor and Daniel are so blessed. Their beautiful babies are just as blessed to have such incredible parents. Taylor had warned me that Mr. Parker seriously hates cameras and is not a fan of photographers either before we met that day. I was pretty sure that I would prove her wrong quickly…and I did. 🙂 Parker was my bud and rocked every shot the entire time. He just didn’t want to pose and smile {duh!!! who really does???}, he wanted to play and hang out like typical four year old boys! Which is totally my speciality! I probably struggle more with girls at this point…I don’t watch all the girlie shows, or play with barbies like girl moms do. ok I’m rambling on and on {typical}…I’ll end it with these amazing shots for your eyes to enjoy! Hope you enjoy as much as I do!!!

I miss seeing this family, but I am so grateful to have them in my life! Lola is turning 5 this month, Liam is 2 and baby Keira is 3 months now! Beautiful family and I hope you enjoy their peek!!!

I absolutely felt blessed to have captured this fabulous family’s sweet moments recently. The Rhyne Family actually won my session in a silent auction at the Yvette W. Ferris Foundation last year- so I know this session meant even more than the normal family session. Every penny went to a fantastic cause. Yvette is another extraordinary client of mine, not to mention inspirational on so many levels. If you’d like to know more about her foundation please visit http://www.ywff.org.
Back to the Rhyne’s…they were a blast to shoot. We laughed deep belly laughs and chatted non-stop. Davis and Katie are gorgeous blondies- that are just as well mannered and loving as they are beautiful. In the end, while saying goodbyes- Katie went into her car and came back with a little note that said “I love U” and on the other side it said “I love U a lot lot lot lot”. She made my week. I love what I do. I hope you enjoy their moments!!
PS- they couldn’t have picked a more perfect setting either. spectacular farm. 🙂

I am desperately trying to catch back up with all my blog entries…so bare with me on all these short write ups. I could talk about every session for hours, but I will keep it short and sweet for now! 🙂
Gianna (age 4) and Graham (these were taken 2 days before his 1st birthday!) were such happy and fun kiddos! Gianna wanted to dance and play and it was just a plus that her little brother got to come along as her partner too. They were so fun, beautiful and seriously full of life. I love real emotions, and children do not hide theirs at all. 🙂 Hope you enjoy!!

The Ortiz Family gets the cool honor of being my very first family with quadruplets! I am still in awe of how amazing Gabe and Niury are as parents. I cannot even wrap my head around 4 newborns wanting to eat, all at the exact same time. This dear family has raised two girls (Olivia & Juliana) and two boys (Aiden & Gabriel) to be wonderful little five year olds! Their family makes my top three strongest family list for sure! Not just for raising 4 awesome little kiddos but beginning the hardest fight of their lives here in the last month. Gabe had just finished his first chemo treatment right before our session. What a strong man, and the ultimate role model for his children. He will win.
One of my shots from their session brought me to tears instantly. I was sitting in my car going through the images and deleting all the “bad” shots, when I crossed by a shot that a sunbeam clearly was coming from heaven and directly going on Gabe’s head. I have never in all my 10 million + images have ever seen this. What a moment.
I am so grateful to have spent my evening learning all about the Ortiz family…and each of their fun personalities! We had such a great time playing on the farm…feeding donkeys and looking for fish! I hope I captured the true essence of their sweet family! I have had such an incredible week of inspiration. Thank you to all of you.
Enjoy…

What a fun love story this family has to tell to their children and grandchildren one day…
Ashley and Josh are going to be doubling the size of their family and love very soon, and I could not be any more excited for them. I have known Ashley a long time and I am over the moon for her, and her sweet babies. Josh is absolutely perfect for her. His son and daughter fit in so perfectly with her two kids. I have heard Ashley swoon over Josh for quite some time now, and you can see their love for each other and their children glowing as soon as you see them together. Makes my heart happy & full. I am so glad I got to capture some fun and beautiful new moments as a big, happy family for all of them! New images to decorate their happy home. 🙂
Oh, I forgot to mention the obvious…but my my aren’t they absolutely gorgeous?! All 6 of them could blow you away!!! Enjoy~~

I have waited a long long time to photograph this beautiful Ried Family. Misty contacted me last year and after rescheduling and working around many bumps we made it work–YAY!!! Ben and Misty are beyond amazing parents. They have two beautiful babies, Braxton & Allie. I truly can’t begin to share their incredible journey on here in one short blog post but every one of them are an inspiration to me. Braxton (who is 5 years old) has what is known as Dravet syndrome, and I am so thankful that Misty & Ben have opened up their hearts to help educate others (like me) on this rare syndrome. If you would like to learn more and keep up with their precious boy- you can look go to http://www.braxtonsweb.com . He is precious, and completely all boy. Full of happiness, love and life. He wanted to sword fight and made me smile all morning long. I hope more than anything I was able to capture that for his Mom & Dad. I am sure those are the moments that really matter, and the memories that are priceless. (not the never-ending days & hours in hospitals or doing therapy.) Braxton adores his little sister Allie. And she adores him right back. Allie is vibrant and fun. And boy does she love her Daddy! Misty and Ben are some of the very best people I have ever met. Every moment of their day is wrapped around their children—including all night long as well. I really hope I get to spend a lot more time with this incredible family and they will be in my prayers every single day. Braxton is a reason I am a photographer. ❤

and to add even more reasons to love this precious lil man…he was singing, and this shot was mid-song. I adore.
