Oh sweet Lyla…her mommy and daddy so badly wanted her to sleep for her newborn session, but already knew before we started that if she had other plans then she would win. 🙂 She won. She has been putting her foot down since in the womb. She does it her way. End of story. And that sometimes happens with newborns, so we go to plan B…capture them happy and wide awake. We made it work and we had a gorgeous sunset to top it off! I loved spending my evening with the Alexander’s beautiful new addition…hope you enjoy!!

Tracy & Ron have such a cool story, {not that all my families don’t…} but it’s yet one more thing I adore about my job. I get to tell the love story of Tracy and Ron… which equals the precious Peyton. The Singer Family is the real life Brady Bunch…both having 2 children prior, and now with their newest addition! We decided to have their first session mainly focused on Peyton (since she is still so new), and our next session soon with all the kiddos! I loved my time with them and we had tons and tons of laughs hanging outside on their gorgeous farm. Peyton wasn’t into the whole “sleep” thing as we had hoped, but I am so happy I was able to capture her gorgeous eyes! I hope you enjoy a few sneak peeks of their lovely family!!

How could you not adore the Sink family?? I wanted to hang out at their house all night! We had rescheduled their session too many times to count (lovely summer weather) so we were determined to make it work this time!!! We quickly figured out that staying inside their home was NOT the answer to happy and fun kiddos!!! Outside we went…and the fun began! Their girls are to die for and I would easily keep them as my own. Such a fun family to photograph and you can see it in all their images!! Enjoy!!

Kolton {hello world}

What a wonderful little surprise it was to meet the beautiful Kiser family recently, and their brand new addition- Kolton. I met them at a friend of their family’s home for their fun outdoor session- and quickly realized how small of a world it really is. My Daddy grew up with the sweet man that allowed us to use his property and fabulous “toys” for our session. I love living so close to the town that I grew up in…it will always be home. 🙂 Good southern gentlemen are priceless.
Kolton was absolutely a dream for his entire session. He almost slept the whole 2-3 hours we played and let his sister snuggle all over him. He is such a handsome baby boy. all 10lbs of him! 🙂 I loved their session, and their precious family!! Hope you enjoy it too!!

I truly adore working outdoors, if I had to work in a studio or an office all day every day I would be heartbroken. It makes me so excited to hear from a new mom that she wants to have her baby’s newborn photos taken outside! I met the Young family a few weeks ago, and their tiny new addition, Alastair. Oh my-he stole my heart when I saw him. It was immediate. I think it was his size at first. He was barely visible in his car seat. The Young’s found out at their 18 week ultrasound that their little angel would be born with a Cleft Lip, so they were prepared when he entered this crazy world. It was awesome learning about his cleft lip first hand, and hearing that in a short 3 months he would have a big surgery to fix it. I am so glad we captured Alastair before his surgery, so he can look back one day on these images and realize how handsome and special he really is. I enjoyed every moment with all of them, and we hung out and captured their love until the sun was completely gone.

I had such a fun (and hot too) morning with the Preslar Family! Their precious girls Claire & Ella Grace are 6 months old now, and it seems like we were just doing their newborn session a few weeks ago! They are an incredibly sweet family with so much love for their little girls, and I am 100% positive it is all teamwork all day and night long to master life! Although it got hot fast (thank you summer for finally showing up), we still got a bunch of fun captured. Humor has kept these 4 going so strong…and I love it!

I’m sure most of you have seen me post on facebook, instagram or on here before about all the gorgeous little girl’s clothing I would put my daughter in if I had one. I am fortunate enough to have a pretend daughter (my best friend’s little girl, Braelyn) to dream with from time to time! Matilda Jane is one of my ultimate favorite girls clothing lines out there. I have always adored their pieces and all the extra joy they bring to my photos when my clients where them. They are having a second release of their Paint by Numbers Collection and I was sent a few samples to showcase to the world on the beautiful Braelyn. This collection is GORGEOUS!!! I personally would wear these clothes every day if they came in my size! 🙂
The Paint by Numbers Collection is full of fun colors and character. Every piece is made special with such perfect detail. From the bursts of floral, aqua, yellow jeweled buttons, to the happy ruffles– every little girl dreams of dressing up in these! It’s so enjoyable creating endless outfits with mixing and matching all their fabulous pieces. Layering or just keeping them alone gives complete different looks, which we also love! Braelyn loved how comfy and soft all her pieces were! She is wearing the Atmosphere Dress with the Arrow Wood Bennys, and then we added the Plum Kitten Cardigan for those cooler Autumn days.

One evening when my three lil trouble makers were driving me to the crazy house…I decided to load them into the car, grabbing their shoes, jeans, swords, and my camera and head to ANYWHERE to let them run and be wild. (almost forgot to mention it was 90 degrees and I added our two 4-legged children into the car as well) Within 7 mins from exiting the car, we were already done and ready to go home for water, cortisone cream and water. Let’s just say. the least number of mosquito bites on any of us was 19—and that was me for some odd reason. But I did grab a couple fun shots of the little men to wrap up our fun summer of 2013. They are still crazy about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers for now, and just hoped on the Skylanders crazy train recently. joy. Cade just turned five (WHAT? I cannot believe I am actually writing that), Jax just turned 3 and Kolt is 20 months! These boys grow and change so much…it’s so bittersweet. We are truly blessed and I am grateful for every single moment I get to spend with them!! Hope you enjoy!!
