Who has the extra time?!

Great title, huh? How many of you think this same exact thing every single day? I know I do. Blogging is what I have learned isn’t the top of my “to-do” list. Actually it might be the last. Even after dishes or clipping all 4 of my kiddie’s toenails. Yea- that low. I hate to say that because I know this is how so many of you keep up with me, my family and my beautiful clients…but gosh it is hard to sit down and organize my thoughts and photos into a post.

If you know me…well, or even have spoken to me before- you know I have some intense ADHD…aka I start talking about one thing and quickly mention a totally different subject mid-sentence. That’s how I feel about blogging too. I just want to write everything down all at once and press publish. DONE.

I start typing…then boom. A kid is pouring water down my leg and into my purse. I start typing again. Deadly screams begin. I go save the child’s life that was in danger. I start typing again. Shoot…I forgot to email the 57 people back that I promised I would. Email everyone. I start typing again. Where was I? Hmmm… I’m hungry, maybe I should start my blogging tonight. Oh wait…let me finish up editing everyone’s images first. THEN I will blog. ok.

This happens way too often for me. So today I have 5 more minutes of peace and quiet to get my crazy wild world written down and shared to all you fun people. Not to mention, I’ve been photographing STUNNINGLY, beautiful families that I need to share too!

Life is never boring. Never calm either. But I wouldn’t trade it for anyone else’s life. Spring is coming and I cannot even wait- mini sessions are pretty much booked up but I have a couple of full sessions left until summer! I am so excited about all the new mamas to be that I am meeting and capturing. Soon my days will be filled with lots of those new babies too. Bring on the fresh air and sunshine. Tulips and peonies. bliss. I am ready to be outside all day long everyday. 🙂

Thanks for sticking around to be a part of our crazy world. Life is so good with you in it. ❤

enjoy the chaotic catch up!!

Hello lil Wesley

Charlotte, NC    Newborn Photography

Right before I broke my arm I was fortunate enough to get to meet and photograph one of my closest friend’s little boy- Wesley!!! That makes number 3 for their sweet family! I got to slip away into the baby world for a few hours…oh it was amazing. (for me…it’s not so lavish for the brand new mama surely.) Someone waiting on you hand and foot, (ok sure, you’re paying thousands of $ a night for that service, but still.) peace and quiet (mostly), a snuggly, squishy, yummy smelling lovebug curled up on  you  and oh, unlimited snacks. Yep…a nice day-cation for me.  Anywho, I love the Young family and I am crazy proud of Ashley for delivering her little man like a rockstar!! He is perfect and HUGE!!! I love him. Here are just a few quick shots of the Young’s in the hospital. 🙂

Kolton {hello world}

Huntersville, NC    Newborn Photography, Family Photography

What a wonderful little surprise it was to meet the beautiful Kiser family recently, and their brand new addition- Kolton.  I met them at a friend of their family’s home for their fun outdoor session- and quickly realized how small of a world it really is.  My Daddy grew up with the sweet man that allowed us to use his property and fabulous “toys” for our session. I love living so close to the town that I grew up in…it will always be home. 🙂 Good southern gentlemen are priceless.

Kolton was absolutely a dream for his entire session. He almost slept the whole 2-3 hours we played and let his sister snuggle all over him.  He is such a handsome baby boy. all 10lbs of him! 🙂 I loved their session, and their precious family!! Hope you enjoy it too!!
