and yep, I am a good month behind on my blogging. typical these days…I apologize. I am going to show a few amazing shots from the Knag Family session, and then my next post is going to combine a huge group of photos, all from my sessions these past few weeks. I know, I know— not fair, and not personal…but I think most people would prefer I play a quick blogging catch up and then focus on editing their gorgeous photos for their flash drives!
So, on to the Knag Family…
gorgeous mom + handsome dad = 3 stunning little girls. This family makes me smile. Looking through their images…I can’t help but smile. They are truly beautiful inside and out…and not just for show. They are real. And I have more respect for real then I ever will for those that are putting on a show to appear “perfect” to the world outside. I have learned so so much in these past few years of photography. One of the greatest things I have developed is my ability to read people, their love for one another, their relationships, and whether or not they are being real with themselves. I am so blessed to be able to grow through others and through these experiences with these incredible families. Three kids make you go crazy sometimes, and 3 girls might even be harder…but that’s what makes this world so beautiful to the Knags. Their chaos makes me feel a tad bit more “normal”…and I thank God for putting these people in my life.
ok enough sappy stuff for one night…the Knag Family rocks, just wait and you be the judge!!!

I could write a novel about this amazing family, but since I have about 4 minutes before my boys bust into my office and tackle me down to the kitchen for snacks…I will keep it short. Susan and Chris have been there for me since the very beginning of my photography journey, supporting me 100% all along the way. And even better…motivating me and lifting me up time and time again. They have constantly whispered in my ear that I have a talent and I should never sell myself for less then what I deserve. God knows, we all need more incredible people like the Kastlers in our lives. They are a beautiful family and have 3 precious little ones that keep growing up way too fast for me. I hope you enjoy their lil peek…
and last but not least…a quick shot of their Big Girl Sloan who is starting Kindergarten this year!! 🙂

I couldn’t wait to share these sweet images of another beautiful family! I love the Shait family and all the fun and real beauty they stand for! Havens is almost 3 and seriously shines from the inside out…and little Walt is almost 6 months and has changed so so much since his newborn session (wow!). Walt is such a happy lil guy, and completely easy going. Havens is adventurous and completely steals the show when she wants into a room. We had fun sweating and dodging giant mosquitoes the day of our session…but what can we expect after 2 straight months of rain and more rain. Hope you enjoy their peek….

Ashley and Patrick just recently built a new home up in “suburbia” (said goodbye to the city life)…so we decided to have their session up at their new home and capture some of their daily life in photos! I love when families add their personal details to their sessions. I adore the Rogers family and their adorable kiddies! I couldn’t believe it had already been almost a year since I was capturing their Emmy’s first few days of life…time disappears so quickly. Bennett is 3 and Emmy is 1 any day now, and my goodness these two know how to have a good time and enjoy life. (I think they get it from their Mommy & Daddy!) The Albright Family came prepared with champagne and cups for all…that is the way to really begin a beautiful day!! 🙂 I loved photographing their family and we had a blast running around an old camp site- avoiding injuries! It is so much fun getting to know each family I meet, and learning all about their dynamic! A family near and dear to my heart added another beautiful little girl to their growing family just recently…and I had been counting down the days to finally meet her! I love surprises, and none of us knew if this little muffin was a girl or a boy until she entered this world- so fun!! Little Miss Ellie is just perfect! She reminds me of her big sister, Mary Caroline. Since Christy and Trey didn’t do formal “newborn” photos with their first two little ones, they decided that it wouldn’t be fair to give little miss Ellie her own supermodel session either…so we captured the essence of their whole family. The kids are so excited to have a new sister…and that always makes me happy inside! And no, it is not normal to look this amazing after just delivering your 3rd baby- so don’t feel discouraged when you see how put together Christy is! 🙂 That’s just how Christy rolls…always pulled together perfectly and just as sweet as a peach. {yet another reason why we love her so much} The Williams Family truly radiate the love for each other that all families deserve to have…and those 3 little ones have a lifetime of fun and love ahead of them!! Another gorgeous session is about to fill your hearts…The Bandy Family added a beautiful new little girl to their family, precious Remington. Remi was 6 days brand new when I finally got to meet her perfect little self. Meredith has been a sweet friend of mine since college {yes, lots of awesome & crazy memories attached with us!} and I just met Kirk for the first time when we did our session. Kirk is awesome. And seriously a perfect Daddy of all girls! It takes a special man to deal with all us women! They were so laid back and easy to photograph! We laughed at plenty of “outtakes” involving newborn bodily functions (typical), and big sister’s Peyton and Maddi were the best helpers EVER! I loved our time together…hope you enjoy their sweet moments as a new family!!!

Once again, I have been MIA…but for good reason this time! 😉 I celebrated my birthday with girlfriends on a trip to Florida…then returned home for a couple days to repack and head to NYC with my hubby & kiddies! It has been non-stop but I’m back in my flow again now! I have lots of sessions to catch up with on here. {blogged behind…} ha. ok Happy Summer friends!!!
To start the summer off properly- let’s begin with one of my favorite sessions ever! Taylor and I have been trying to set up a session on and off for years…and I am so so so thankful we finally made it work. It was bliss photographing her precious family. Pretty much a photographer’s dream—perfect morning sunrise, sugared up babies, happy parents, and everyone just wanting to have a blast. We literally played, laughed & joked from the moment we got out of the car til we got back in. (Donuts and starbucks may or may not have been involved.) Taylor and Daniel are so blessed. Their beautiful babies are just as blessed to have such incredible parents. Taylor had warned me that Mr. Parker seriously hates cameras and is not a fan of photographers either before we met that day. I was pretty sure that I would prove her wrong quickly…and I did. 🙂 Parker was my bud and rocked every shot the entire time. He just didn’t want to pose and smile {duh!!! who really does???}, he wanted to play and hang out like typical four year old boys! Which is totally my speciality! I probably struggle more with girls at this point…I don’t watch all the girlie shows, or play with barbies like girl moms do. ok I’m rambling on and on {typical}…I’ll end it with these amazing shots for your eyes to enjoy! Hope you enjoy as much as I do!!!
