I can’t handle this lil pumpkin’s cuteness. Madeline was so fantastic. Her mama rocked the tunes in the car loud enough that Madi was able to dance throughout her entire 1st birthday session! I can’t believe it was a year ago that I was doing her newborn shots…and now she is wide open and happy as a peach!! Enjoy a peek t this fun session!!

Since I am on a roll tonight with FINALLY posting some of the love that has been in front of my lens lately…I will quickly show you one of the kindest, sweetest & most loving families EVER!!! The Colyer family includes 2 stunningly beautiful little girls, a perfect little puppy & the perfect Mom and Dad. I was excited to shoot in the midwood plaza area, and to play with the sweet Peterson boys…and all those ingredients together made AWESOMENESS! Ben & Gabe are so precious and I love how different they are!! But they’re both equally gorgeous!! Check out their cuteness!!

The Thompson’s welcomed their newest addition to the world just a week before I got to meet him…perfect lil Max. 🙂 I was so thrilled for their family when I heard they were expecting another little one…and I knew the big sister Stella would be amazing! I spent the morning in their home snuggling Max, chatting with the family & yes, I suppose we took a few photos as well! 😉 I love when I get to visit a client’s home and see all my images covering their walls. It just makes my week!! Hope you enjoy some of their happiness!!

I loved meeting the brand new Sheedy family of three, and capturing their perfect lil bundle- Edith!! And just like most of the newborns, Edith decided to have her first big day of NOT wanting to sleep when I arrived. 🙂 Luckily after some sweet love, full belly & warmth she could no longer fight it, and passed out perfectly for us! What man enjoys giving up his football Sunday for family photos??? Yep, I hear crickets. No one that I know. So I knew when we scheduled a morning session for the Mayes Family it couldn’t last hours and hours. 🙂 Robert and Megan were awesome. And their new little man, Cam ROCKED it. I couldn’t believe how perfect and tiny he was for being a month old already. I had hopes of getting a few “newborn” shots of him, but assumed he would be too old to squish up into gooey perfection for us. I was wrong…being a month early, gave us an extra month of newborn shots! YAY! I loved hanging out with the Mayes’ and cuddling their precious Cam.

Landon may be the only lil boy that I have met that didn’t want cake for his birthday…so instead of the usual cake smash session, we decided to let him play and be the little boy that he is! Reggie and Shari have been wonderful friends of my husband and me for many many years now, and I can remember laughing about even the idea of filling their calm home with wild lil kiddo footsteps. Now, a year after we did newborn photos for their perfect bundle of joy, we are capturing his vibrant big kid personality for his 1st birthday! Landon is one handsome dude, and I get so excited every time I get to photograph him. He makes my “job” a piece of cake. Happy Birthday big boy! Enjoy!!!

The Albright Family came prepared with champagne and cups for all…that is the way to really begin a beautiful day!! 🙂 I loved photographing their family and we had a blast running around an old camp site- avoiding injuries! A few weeks ago I met with this adorable family to capture Aubrey’s 4th birthday and photograph some fun memories of a special Mommy-daughter time we never get back. (they grow up way too quickly) Ilana is such an incredible Mother, and Aubrey is for sure the center of her world. When we first started to “play” I noticed some dark clouds but we just kept going…hoping they’d just pass over quickly. {Little did I know it was going to be the craziest stormy night of my life.} They danced. They laughed. and I loved it just as much as they did. But within 20 minutes of starting, the skies opened up and let out all they had. Lightning was darting through the skies, with the thunder shaking us immediately after. We ran for cover, and again, hoped it would pass quickly. Not so much. So instead of ending there, we pushed through the rain and danced. The light was incredible…top 3 best lighting I’ve ever shot in for sure. We may have been insane to keep going in such a wild storm, but the outcome of images (and no injuries) was totally worth it this time to me! I hope they agree!! I loved spending the evening with them and can’t wait to watch beautiful Aubrey grow up! Hope you enjoy their moments…
ps- we watched people being saved from cars that were stuck in the flooding on the way home that night. Just so you really understand how ridiculous this storm really was.
While we waited for the rain to slow down or stop…precious Aubrey played in the drips off the roof. She watched with such wonder….
