The Bullock family was such a great time to photograph. They adore their handsome little man, Maxwell to pieces and you can see that in all their photos! I loved how much they all just wanted to play and do “real” life! And their dog, Thor wanted to be a part of it all too! Everyone knows I have a special spot inside for sweet pooches! Spring is officially here…and other than the obvious gorgeous weather & gorgeous blooms everywhere– I’ve been MIA! No blogging, barely any facebook posts, and just getting enough time in the day to catch a few hours of sleep— yes, this is Spring. I have been spending most of the past month trying to catch up on all the sessions that were rescheduled from all the nasty weather this winter too. Hello crazy town.
In the last month I did manage to finally start a photography instagram page, which is exciting. ( username: HeatherMariePhotographyNC ) I love posting sneak peeks from the back of my camera on there. And giving a little preview of my own crazy life as well. oh, which reminds me…HAPPY EASTER friends!! I hope everyone celebrated with all their loved ones and enjoyed such a special day! ❤
Now to share a few shots from the past month! I won’t be doing my full blog posts with these but I adored each and every one of these sessions! I will be back to my regular blogging soon, PROMISE!!

After months and months of trying to get our schedules to match up, I FINALLY got the precious Walsh family in front of my camera! Leslie and I had been back and forth way too many times to count, she deserves a medal. But of course we pick a bitter cold day to meet, and of course things didn’t go as planned. {do they ever?!} Their handsome little 4 year old Sutton wanted nothing to do with me or my crazy antics. After dancing, singing & lots of ridiculous jokes, I gave up. In all my years of photographing kids he’s the very 1st kiddo to defeat me. He won. He was not in the mood for playing or photos, and quite honestly it was so frigid out I am surprised that any of us lasted as long as we did. Hadley, his big sister was the sweetest little princess from start to finish. I think she enjoyed the extra love from mommy & daddy! We all have been here before- which makes me appreciate these images so much. We are always in new stages with children, and they’re constantly changing. Capture it while you can. Hope you enjoy!!!

Lauren, her family and I go way back. I mean WAYYYYYY back. Like we were small children. yes, that far back. And yes, I have not moved that far from where I originally started. Which makes my moments with her and her new little muffin even more special. Tim is the perfect addition to Lauren. They really are beautiful together. And then there was Chloe. GORGEOUS GORGEOUS baby girl. (not that I wouldn’t have expected that though with 2 gorgeous parents) Chloe is one of the most beautiful newborn babies I’ve ever seen. Plus, she was a superstar and slept almost the entire shoot. I am so blessed to have been trusted enough to capture such a special time in their lives! I hope you enjoy a few teasers…some of my favs are being held hostage from the public and family for future fun!!

The Mehrmann Family

After WAY too long, we finally got both our wild schedules together to capture this awesome family. The Mehrmann Family are so vibrant and fun. We wanted their location for their photos to represent them– so downtown Mooresville seemed perfect! Hannah is the perfect big sister…seriously. She just wants to love on Grayson and protect him from hurting himself. BUT he is 100% boy…and wants to show off that wonderful gift in full force! balls, trucks, rocks, and trains…it rocks a little boy’s world. Never a dull moment in a home with a toddler boy! (and I say this from experience!) Cheryl and Todd live in our neighborhood and are an absolute blast to hang out with…especially late wine nights! Our next session has to be planned around their fabulous past time of “glamping” —Camping in their awesomely giant and fancy camper! I can see it now…sunset, roasting marshmallows over the campfire, yummy cocktails in hand, great tunes on the radio…out in the middle of nowhere. Yep, no need for brainstorming their next photo session! 🙂 Hope you enjoy the Mehrmann’s precious moments…
