Little fact about me…I usually don’t take any new clients that are not referred to me, and most people know this about me (lots of random reasons but #1 I love to keep all my clients and friends connected in relationships)–but this year I received so many wonderful emails from the Ferguson family that I decided to go ahead and photograph their sweet family. I am so so THANKFUL that I did. I would’ve never had a chance to meet such a fabulous couple, that adore their daughter so much! For starters, Minta sewed all of her little girl’s gorgeous dresses…how awesome is that?! And Dave is completely smitten by his little BB and his wife! We had a great time and BB smiled almost non-stop! Enjoy!!

How lucky is THIS girl?! I got my hands on two precious little nuggets in past two days! After doing the Rogers’ maternity/family session I couldn’t wait to meet their newest member- Emory Grace. She is perfect. Mommy, Daddy and Big Brother Bennett are perfect too. I really enjoy coming to the family’s home and just being a part of their beautiful mess…lets me capture real life. Emory has been an amazing baby so far, and I hope she stays that way. Bennett wants to be a boy, and squeeze her with all his GIANT love. {just like big brothers do!} This is a gorgeous family and I loved every minute of my day with them…
ps- it made my heart smile a little bit more when I saw my maternity photos we just recently did printed beautifully all over their home…another moment that reminded me of exactly how much I adore what I get to do. 🙂

Little boys melt me…I know, I am biased but really they do. I’m sure I have said this all before! I’ve known Heather and Brad since the good ol’ college days and now they have a fabulous little man CASEN! (almost ONE year) Casen is such a sweet, love bug. He obviously loves my camera or maybe me…but either way he couldn’t stop smiling. They are lucky parents to have such a fabulous little man! The Berg’s have a very active little boy…in my mind that’s a wonderful thing. He is curious about the world in front of him and doesn’t want to sit still for long. I had fun running through or dodging sprinklers trying to keep up with this little toddler! His sweet mom has the patience of a saint and I couldn’t believe she is a stay at home mommy! I stay at home with my three wild men, and I swear I wear a sign on my forehead that says “HI, I’m a crazy stay at home mom…please don’t test my patience, because I have none.” We had fun playing around and I know we all sweat enough to lose a few pounds! As I climbed into my car last night I called Cam & Mindy and said “it’s storming here- shall we still try to make our session happen?”- the immediate answer was YES, it’s clear and sunny here. So, off I went and I am pretty sure I drove in the eye of the storm the entire 50 minute trip. I couldn’t believe it was sunny where we were meeting…but as I got closer I could see the perfect circle of clear blue skies up ahead of me. Right before I arrived the rain closed in and started a huge downpour…but to make a long story short- we stuck to our plan and ended up doing our photos anyway. Breaks of sunlight and drops of rain here and there added to the beauty of this botanical garden and adorable family. Cam & Mindy adore their precious little Stella. She is two and that is exactly the stage she is in…”I do it” stage! (One of my favorites actually…well, for photography!) We had fun and made it work, hope you enjoy their peek!

April 22. 2012: Belmont, NC {LIFESTYLE session}
I think I keep repeating myself lately about how much I LOVE what I do…but really, I adore it. I love spending fun time with all these wonderful friends. I love that I make people smile, and I love that I capture a moment that will most likely never happen again. Silly laughs, faces a toddler makes that are the “look” of this phase in their life…it all makes me happy.
I spent yesterday morning with some of my favorite people…Ella & Kate- and oh, yes, their awesome parents, Matt & Lindsay. Kate just turned 2 and seriously is stunning. Ella is just as beautiful and so fun. We had a blast playing around the lil town & especially my favorite part…playing in this adorable boutique, Jolie- right on main street. Little girls in a boutique is just par for the course! Love them…enjoy their pics!
oh and yes- they are wearing the gorgeous Addie & Ella clothing line!! 🙂
