We had a fun early morning session with the Thompson family and their close family members this past weekend. Mindy & Travis have 3 wild boys (just like us)…and it’s so close to home when I’m photographing them. They are all boy and so so handsome!! Mindy brought along her parents and her sister and brother- and their families too. Her parents are rockstars and are incredible with their 6 grandchildren! Lots of fun…enjoy!!

Another fun session this weekend…sweet sweet family of five!! The Roer Family has 3 boys and they are all boy–which I am a HUGE fan of!! They all love one another so much. Makes my heart smile! They just found out that they have a contract on their home and are starting a new in Raleigh very soon. But I hope to see them again someday soon!! I have so many great shots of this family, that I had a hard time narrowing it down! Hiding all the best for Christmas cards…but here are some favs of mine!!

Just want to start off by saying, I seem to be the luckiest photographer in Charlotte…I always get such gorgeous families & children!!! (inside and out!!) The Knag family have 3 precious little girls, 4 year old Kamden, and the two year old twins Kolby, & Kalyon. These girls are stunningly beautiful, but you can see where they got it from! (the apple didn’t fall far from the tree) We had so much fun running around and dancing the evening away! Kam has photography in her blood too—she got to use my camera twice to show off her skills…I wish I could bring her home with me & teach her to edit too! ha! I love when I instantly connect with families, and this is definitely one of them! Hope you enjoy!! (sorry I am still hiding the Christmas card shots!!)
ps- Jennifer has the best parents (Mimi and Poppy) ever too! I loved meeting them and watching how much their grandbabies ADORE them!!!

I really started this family session off perfectly; a hot chai latte & a fresh snickerdoodle cookie from the local coffee house in Davidson—the perfect sunlight and just a happy feeling inside. Quickly, my perfect little afternoon turned to not so perfect the moment I put my memory card in my camera and it read ERROR!!! To make a long story short, after google-ing & calling a camera pro- I figured out that my 5 month old (WAY too expensive) memory card was done, and I was going to save the day by buying the best “crap” memory card they had at the drug store–what a mess. These things ONLY happen on the days I forget to bring my back-up memory card, of course.
The Torpy’s were so so understanding and basically awesome in every way to work with me through the drama. Their sweet kiddies have done a complete 180 since last year’s session…and we had a fun time playing around Davidson!! Hope you enjoy their peek…

Another gorgeous family hits the blog…Dusty and Alex have the cutest lil pumpkin ever, Kellan. He is so precious and shows more emotion in his lil face than I’ve ever seen! He had his very 1st cold and it happened to be a super cold afternoon—yet he still was a champ and hung in there for his modeling moments!! Hope you enjoy!!

Well my title for this session is off a little bit…but this is how I remember these pretty ladies- as the Knox girls!! I grew up with Ashley and Lauren– and now they’re married and Ashley has a little pumpkin man, baby Kellen (6 months). Their gorgeous mom hasn’t aged a day since we first met, and as you’ll be able to see- her daughter’s got that same beauty as well!! We had a blast running around the fields and cracking jokes. Good luck figuring out which one is Susan, their pretty Mom…she blends in like a 28 year old!!! Enjoy!!!

SO SO much love in this family…so much that I look back through these pics and catch myself smiling just because their smiles are so contagious. Little Jack is 14 months old and his Mom & Dad (Becky & PJ) just adore him to pieces…one memory I will giggle about forever is the fact Jack knows Chinese better than English and his parents just had to say a few words (that I did not understand at all) to get him to start laughing and clapping. I loved laughing with these wonderful people!!! Enjoy!!
