Oh hello SPRING…it makes me so happy to finally say that! 🙂 Sweet birds chirping, warm sun beating down, beautiful blooming flowers everywhere, bright and happy colors filling my lens–Spring BLISS!!! Everyone seems to be extra cheerful and just happy to be alive…I really do love spring. Love glows brighter.
The Ovitsky family have started off my season with a bang. Lauren and Troy are loving life with their little 6 month old man, Anthony. He has obviously grown a TON since our last session, only 3 short months ago. Anthony was so happy, so sweet and so alert for the whole session. And his precious little outfits could melt all of us moms out there. {oh and knee socks, gush!!!} He is ready for his very first visit from the infamous Easter bunny, and I’m pretty sure he may get lots of goodies this year!

I am so excited for Stephanie and Stephen…they have such a cool story from when they met and how they’ve stayed together over the years, and are honestly just 2 incredible people. They picked a spot that I have used a couple times recently, and I actually think it’s a great spot for engagement photos—but I’m pretty sure every photographer in town was there that night as well. (which most people know, that’s why I like to go to private/deserted locations) I enjoy my time hanging out one on one with my clients…laughing and relaxing, plus going at our own pace. We had to dodge a crazy bride in a NEON red dress, hanging out of her NEON red car’s sunroof— which is 100% a first for me. 🙂 Although we were all freezing, we ended having a blast and laughing our frozen booties off. They are going to have a gorgeous wedding and a lifetime of sweet love….enjoy their beautiful moments.

The Accettas braved the cold weather yesterday morning with me, and all 3 of their beautiful children! I’m so glad I was able to photograph their family finally…last year’s schedules and weather issues caused us to miss our chance. 😦 I loved that the kids were able to open up and show off their BIG personalities- even being completely frozen! I wish I could post my favs for you to enjoy but they’re being hidden away for their special 2012 Christmas card! Enjoy!!

ANOTHER fabulous family…I am in awe of how fortunate I am to be able to photograph such amazing people. (seriously. so lucky.) I have made so many incredible friendships too! The VanDeventers fall into all of these categories! So excited for their family…they finally have moved into their new home and get to have their first Christmas as a complete family together in it! I really started this family session off perfectly; a hot chai latte & a fresh snickerdoodle cookie from the local coffee house in Davidson—the perfect sunlight and just a happy feeling inside. Quickly, my perfect little afternoon turned to not so perfect the moment I put my memory card in my camera and it read ERROR!!! To make a long story short, after google-ing & calling a camera pro- I figured out that my 5 month old (WAY too expensive) memory card was done, and I was going to save the day by buying the best “crap” memory card they had at the drug store–what a mess. These things ONLY happen on the days I forget to bring my back-up memory card, of course.
The Torpy’s were so so understanding and basically awesome in every way to work with me through the drama. Their sweet kiddies have done a complete 180 since last year’s session…and we had a fun time playing around Davidson!! Hope you enjoy their peek…
