I really started this family session off perfectly; a hot chai latte & a fresh snickerdoodle cookie from the local coffee house in Davidson—the perfect sunlight and just a happy feeling inside. Quickly, my perfect little afternoon turned to not so perfect the moment I put my memory card in my camera and it read ERROR!!! To make a long story short, after google-ing & calling a camera pro- I figured out that my 5 month old (WAY too expensive) memory card was done, and I was going to save the day by buying the best “crap” memory card they had at the drug store–what a mess. These things ONLY happen on the days I forget to bring my back-up memory card, of course.
The Torpy’s were so so understanding and basically awesome in every way to work with me through the drama. Their sweet kiddies have done a complete 180 since last year’s session…and we had a fun time playing around Davidson!! Hope you enjoy their peek…

Such a fabulous afternoon with these three beautiful people…so many laughs, so many jokes…so much fun. Caroline (hubby went fishing, and got out of his pics–I’m sure all men hope for this!) and her two kiddies, Lillian and Everett brought along their energetic pooch, Frank to hang out with me and my awkward, big, black camera. Well my title for this session is off a little bit…but this is how I remember these pretty ladies- as the Knox girls!! I grew up with Ashley and Lauren– and now they’re married and Ashley has a little pumpkin man, baby Kellen (6 months). Their gorgeous mom hasn’t aged a day since we first met, and as you’ll be able to see- her daughter’s got that same beauty as well!! We had a blast running around the fields and cracking jokes. Good luck figuring out which one is Susan, their pretty Mom…she blends in like a 28 year old!!! Enjoy!!!

YAY!!! Another newborn this week…I have actually lost count at this point of exactly how many new lil peanuts have entered into the world this month. Woohoo for beautiful Autumn babies. Brady was 9 days brand new when I photographed his cuteness and his absolutely precious family. I still cannot believe he makes number 4 for the awesome McCormick Family! He is the perfect combo of all the other 3 kiddos, and as precious as a peach. (dimples and all) He has no clue how lucky he is to be part of this family of his, and I am so grateful to be able to capture these special moments…enjoy.

I love that I have been photographing the Shait family long enough to go through so many special times in their lives…like this one currently–a baby BOY is on his way!!! Big Sis Havens will be the perfect partner in crime for this new little man. Havens is my buddy and is in the “hopelessly in love with her Daddy” stage. She is beyond fun, so beautiful and extremely curious about the world around her. Can’t wait to meet the newest addition! 🙂 Enjoy!
